Which TBI STEP is used for which linac?

Elekta:   P10107-757 System TBI STEP 2,4

Varian:   P10107-758 System TBI STEP 2,1

Accuray: P10107-758 system TBI STEP 2,1

What are the differences between the two systems?

The TBI STEP for Elekta is 2.4m long, the one for Varian is 2.1m long due to the different position of the isocenter of the different manufacturers.


Is there a TBI STEP that can be used universally for all manufacturers?

Yes, P10107-758 System TBI STEP 2.1


What requirements must the CT-Scanner have?

None, all TBI STEPs can be used on any CT. Only the exact designation of the CT (incl. table) and the CTO used must be known.


Can the same TBI STEP be used on both the linac and the CT-Scanner?

Yes, a Trolley is available for easier transport


Is it mandatory to use the IT-V positioning aids with the TBI STEP
?

No, all positioning aids from different manufacturers can be attached to the TBI STEP using standard indexing bars


Can the TBI STEP tilt when turning?

No, as specially manufactured safety blocks are supplied for both the Linac and the CT-Scanner.
